This isn't your average, run-of-the-mill spelunking adventure; it's the grand, slightly absurd finale to Chapter 1 of Black Myth: Wukong, a place where wolf-men lurk in shadows, giant bears have identity crises, and the loot is almost as plentiful as the puns we could make about it. After triumphing over the dapper but deadly Whiteclad Noble, our simian hero finds himself at the mouth of this ominous cavern, ready to dive headfirst into a whirlwind of combat, exploration, and questionable architectural choices.

The journey begins by clambering up a set of stairs that look like they've seen better days—centuries ago. Inside, the first sight is a pit with a surprisingly resilient tree growing out of it. Fear not, clumsy adventurers! This pit is purely for aesthetic despair; you cannot plummet into its depths, which is a relief because the last thing Wukong needs is another embarrassing story about getting stuck in a hole. Instead, take the path to the right and snag a shimmering green wisp for a cool x360 Will. Consider it the cave's welcoming gift, or perhaps a bribe to look the other way on the safety violations.

Deeper into the gloomy abyss you go, where the only things thriving are some suspicious plants. Grab x2 Gentian—because you never know when you'll need a nice herbal tea after all this fighting. Soon, you'll have your first encounter with the local wildlife: a Wolf Assassin. This furry fiend loves a good ambush from the dark. The pro-tip here is to play the pied piper and lure it into a well-lit area. Fighting in the dark is so last season, and it makes parrying those swipes much easier. Once the wolf is taking a permanent nap, you'll face a fork in the road. 🐺

• Left Path: The path of wisdom (and snacks)! Here you'll find a blessed Meditation Spot, perfect for a quick power nap and skill point allocation. Next to it, a golden pot holds a Celestial Taiyi Pill. Don't be shy; it's not like anyone's watching. On the right side of the platform, help yourself to x2 Purple Lingzhi. It's the cave's all-inclusive resort package.

• Right Path: The path of more wolf-related violence. After your meditation, head this way. You'll encounter another Wolf Assassin (they really need a union). Use the same bright-light strategy. Further on, a narrow passage leads to—surprise!—yet another Wolf Assassin. It's almost like they're multiplying.

The cavern eventually opens up into a larger chamber guarded by two Wolf Sentinels standing before a shrine. This is your first proper gang-up, so fight smart! Once they're dealt with, pay your respects at the Cave Interior shrine by offering incense. It's good karma, and it unlocks a fast travel point. Because who wants to walk all the way back?

Now, for the main event! Beyond a large wooden door lies a temple, and within it, the big boss himself: the Black Wind King. This guy has been waiting with his spear for what feels like eons, probably practicing his villain monologue. His signature move involves conjuring a Black Wind projectile that zips across the arena faster than gossip. He can also transform into a Black Wind Orb and zoom around like an angry, ethereal bumper car. The key is patience and well-timed dodges. Defeating him is a rite of passage.

Victory is sweet! The Keeper rewards Wukong with the incredibly stylish Cloud Step spell. Before you leave, be sure to ransack—ahem, respectfully explore—the temple. Loot includes:

A green wisp on the left cliff offers a hefty x720 Will. At the top, prepare for an archery contest gone wrong: a Wolf Sentinel and two Wolf Archers. Your new Cloud Step is perfect for closing the gap and turning those archers into pincushions (metaphorically speaking). Nearby, a bridge is guarded by another Sentinel and three more Archers. It's a target-rich environment! 🎯

After clearing the bridge, check the left side for a hidden path. It leads to an elite Wolf Assassin (this one hits the gym). Beating it rewards you with the Wolf Assassin (Spirit) and Blood of the Iron Bull. A nearby chest holds another Blood of the Iron Bull and x4 Stone Spirits. Jackpot!

Return to the main path and head up to a rooftop area. Here, a familiar face—or rather, horned face—awaits: a Bullguard, accompanied by a whole pack of Wolf Archers. This is chaos management 101. Use Cloud Step to isolate and eliminate the archers first, then deal with the mini-boss one-on-one.

Push forward past the Bullguard's stomping grounds. Deal with a final Wolf Sentinel and Archer, then loot a Celestial Nonary Pill from a golden pot on an altar. Further on, a group of Wolf Guai and another archer stand at the base of some steps. Clear them out, climb up, defeat one last archer, and you'll find the Bodhi Peak shrine. Offer incense and rest. You've earned it.

Now, for the true final boss of Chapter 1. Head up the steps from the shrine, and the world seems to be on fire. A cutscene triggers, and you face Black Bear Guai—the Black Wind King's final, furious form. This isn't just a bear; it's a bear with a serious grudge and a PhD in swiping. It uses powerful paw attacks, can still pull the Black Wind Orb trick, and even harnesses the surrounding flames. It's a spectacular, challenging brawl that tests everything you've learned.

Toppling the beast yields a glorious haul: Flame Ebongold, x5 Yarn, x2 Silk, x1 Stone Spirit, x1 Yaoguai Core, and x1 Mind Core. You'll also receive the Craving Eyes Relic and face a monumental choice: awakening one of three powerful passive perks.
